MID-HUDSON -TU #293
Mid-Hudson Chapter #293 was founded in 1975 and has over 350 members. They meet the third Monday of every month, 7:30pm at the American Legion Hall, Overocker Road, Poughkeepsie, NY. Their territory includes the cold-water fisheries of Duchess County.
Activities
Chapter activities include fly fishing and fly tying classes, annual Family Day, stream clean-ups throughout the year, a habitat project each summer, Stewardship Banquet each fall, various chapter trips and Public Fishing Rights (PFR) program. Current projects include planting of willow and dogwood stock for use in bio-engineering projects, habitat improvement project on the Wappinger Creek and purchase of addition public fishing rights (PFR) in Duchess County. Mid-Hudson Chapter has received the TU Silver Trout Award and various Newsletter awards. The Chapter’s partnerships include Duchess County Sportsmen’s Federation and numerous town, county and State agencies.
