This Committee, headed by Council’s Conservation Fund VP, was established to provide funding support for grassroots conservation efforts in New York State that advance Trout Unlimited’s overall mission to conserve, protect and restore our precious coldwater fisheries and their watersheds. Funds are raised annually from TU members, corporate and agency partners, and foundations to distribute as small grants to local TU projects.
Administered by the New York State Council of Trout Unlimited (NYSCTU), the Conservation Fund is a dedicated fund used to finance many of the state’s resource management projects. Recent projects supported through Conservation Fund revenues include coldwater fisheries management, preservation and enhancement, coldwater habitat improvement, coldwater resource protection and conservation and public outreach and education. The conservation fund also supports programs and operations in other not-for-profit agencies and organizations.

Contributions of $50.00 or more will be recognized as “Golden Contributors” and contributions of $25.00 or more will be recognized as “Silver Contributors” in the Council’s newsletter, Long Casts. Remember that all donations are tax deductible.
The Conservation Fund is operated solely by volunteers. No salaries are paid and no professional fund raisers are employed.
